New Delhi: Home Minister P Chidambaram said on Saturday that Pakistan has enough evidence to prosecute Hafiz Saeed, the man India believes is the mastermind of the Mumbai terror attacks.
The evidence has been provided to Pakistan over the course of many months in at least three dossiers since the attacks.
His comments come days after Pakistan's interior minister went on record this week to say that Pakistan has no evidence to prosecute Hafiz Saeed.
Chidamabaram also said that India has prepared a seven-page answer to questions Pakistan raised on the dossier, and that has been handed over the Pakistan's High Commissioner in New Delhi, Shahid Malik.
Asked about the nature of the questions, Chidambaram said they were "routine" queries like "fill in the blanks" type.
