Mumbai: A MI17 Helicopter of the Indian Air Force on Thursday made a precautionary landing at the helipad at Mahalakshmi Race Course in Mumbai after it was diverted due to inclement weather at Mumbai airport.
"The MI17 landed at the race course helipad due to bad weather. This was done due to weather conditions at Mumbai airport. The helicopter will take off today morning depending on weather," said a defence spokesperson.
Mahalakshmi helipad is routinely used by commercial helicopters, the spokesperson said in a statement.
