London:
The death of an Indian-origin student, whose body was found with the words "take my organs" written on her wrist at her home near London, has been termed a suicide.
Shruti Baral, 22, had battled with depression and died as a result of an overdose of cocaine, an inquest into her death concluded this week.
"She died from a deliberate act with the intention of causing her own death," coroner Patricia Harding said in her verdict.
Pathologist Dr David Rouse said Baral, who had moved to the UK from Hong Kong, died from a drug overdose.
Tests also found a small amount of alcohol in her blood. According to local media reports, Baral was discovered on the floor of her bedroom by her 17-year-old brother.
The geography undergraduate from University of London was described as a bright young student who was not in the habit of taking drugs at the inquest.
Shortly before she was found dead on February 17 at her family home in Emsworth Grove in Maidstone where she lived with her mother and brother, Shruti left a message on her Facebook site.
It contained a photograph of herself and a message asking people if they would remember her if she died.
Baral had also sought help from her university's psychological services unit in London.
