New Delhi: An Indian student died and four others were injured in a car crash in southeastern US state of Alabama, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said today.
All the five were students of Troy University in Alabama.
"Consul General Atlanta has informed me that Five Indian students of Troy University Alabama met with a car accident last night.
"We have lost Joy Mathew. Bharath and Vamshi of Poddutur AP have suffered serious injuries. Nikhil and Yeshawanth have minor injuries," Ms Swaraj tweeted.
She said Consul DV Singh is reaching there to provide all assistance.
"My heartfelt condolences to Joy's family. I wish other students speedy recovery," she said.
