Indo-US jugalbandi to find water on moon

Indo-US jugalbandi to find water on moon
New Delhi:

India and America carried out a unique experiment to search for water on the moon.

India's Chandrayaan and American satellite Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter played a symphony, one sending signals while the other listened in an effort to search for water in a moon crater.

Till date, there is no evidence of water on the moon. So, finding water on the lunar surface is vital for hoping to establish colonies there.

The results of this unique experiment are still being analysed by the scientists. This experiment also establishes that Chandryaan is functioning despite the glitch it encountered earlier.
