Infected blood: NHRC issues notice to Rajasthan govt

Jodhpur: The National Human Rights Commission has issued a notice to the Rajasthan Government after reports that infected blood was given the children suffering from Thaelesemia.

Three Thaelesemic children ended with HIV and 17 got Hepatitis-C after the transfusion at Ummed Hospital at Jodhpur.

Relatives of the patients alleged that the state government has not given facilities for the test needed to diagnose infection in blood even after five months after the incident. The Commission has sought a report on the incident.
