Jammu:
An infiltration attempt by a group of terrorists was foiled by the Army in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir early this morning.
Exchange of fire between the terrorists and the troops is reportedly still underway. No casualties have been reported so far.
The incident comes a day ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the state on July 4.
As part of the preparedness, general officer commanding of the army's Srinagar-based 15th Corps, Lt. Gen. Subrata Saha, on Wednesday visited some forward positions in the Keran sector.
He interacted with the soldiers deployed there and also met villagers living along the LoC, defence sources said in Srinagar.
