Indian Army foiled an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir last night. Two heavily armed terrorists were killed during the anti-infiltration operation Rajouri district and weapons, including AK-47s, were recovered from them.

The Army had launched Op Kanchi last night in Laam sector of Nowshera based on inputs from intelligence agencies and Jammu and Kashmir Police, said White Knight Corps in an online post.

"Two terrorists have been neutralised and a large quantity of war like stores including Two AK-47s and one Pistol thus far recovered. Search operation is in progress," they said.

Officials said the Army troops illuminated the area and kept it under strict surveillance throughout the night after the encounter and the search operation was launched at first light.
