Srinagar: The Army today foiled an infiltration bid near the Line of Control (LoC) in Naugam sector of Kashmir, killing one terrorist.
"One terrorist has been killed during an infiltration bid. It was foiled by alert soldiers in Naugam sector in Kupwara district," an Army official said.
He said the operation continued till reports last came in.
This is the second infiltration bid foiled by the Army this month.
One terrorist was killed on August 1 as the Army foiled an infiltration bid near the Line of Control in Naugam sector of Kashmir.
Earlier, four terrorists were killed and one was apprehended in an anti-infiltration operation on July 26, followed by another operation on July 30, in which two terrorists and two soldiers were killed.
