Mumbai:
The Indian Navy has completed the 'Board of Inquiry' into the 2013 Indian Naval Submarine (INS) Sindhurakshak tragedy in which 18 Navy personnel lost their lives.
"The BoI has been completed and the report has been sent to the Naval headquarters in Delhi," said Vice Admiral Anil Chopra, Flag Officer Commander in Chief of Western Naval Command, in Mumbai today.
Vice Admiral Chopra said he did not want to share the details as the report was being looked into by the HQ.
On August 14, 2013, there was an explosion on the Russian-made Kilo-class submarine. The diesel-electric submarine was commissioned into the Indian Navy in 1997.
