Mumbai:
Not taxing the first season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) cost Maharashtra government nearly five crores in revenue, an audit report tabled in the state assembly said on Friday.
The report tabled in the Maharashtra Assembly states that Maharashtra government lost Rs 4.99 crores by not levying entertainment tax on the IPL.
It does not seem that Maharashtra government has learnt its lesson as it again is considering tax exemption for the third season of IPL.
