Bangalore: Here is the official statement issued by the Indian Premier League after twin blasts rocked Bangalore's Chinnaswamy stadium on Saturday:
The Indian Premier League (IPL) today confirmed the nature of the incident which occurred at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore this afternoon.
At approximately 3.15 pm, there was a low intensity explosion outside the stadium near Gate 12.
As a result, Bangalore Police closed the gate and investigated the cause of the explosion.
After the investigation was completed and Bangalore Police was satisfied that the match should proceed, the start time was revised to 5:00 pm.
