Iraq Crisis: Assistance Camps Set Up For Indian Nationals

Amid escalating tension in Iraq, the Indian government has opened camp offices in three Iraqi cities to assist Indian nationals. The government has already issued an advisory asking Indian nationals to avoid all travel to Iraq.

Here are the details of Indian camp offices and contact persons in Iraq:

As indicated in the travel advisory of 24 June 2014, the Indian Embassy in Baghdad has opened camp offices in Najaf, Karbala and Basra for assisting Indians nationals in Iraq.

All necessary assistance, including provision of travel documents, air tickets and facilitation in any other form for travel out of Iraq, will be provided to those Indian nationals desirous of returning back to India.
