Ganderbal:
Two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants were killed in a fierce gunbattle between security forces and militants in the forest area of Kangan in Central Kashmir's Ganderbal district.
The body of one militant has been found and another is believed to be under the debris.
Acting on a tip-off, Army assisted by police launched a search operation in the Chattargul forests in Kangan area. The operation began at 7 am today and ended late in the afternoon.
One AK-47 Rifle has been recovered by the security forces from the scene of action; during the operation, the house where the militants were believed to be hiding caught fire.
Reports said three militants were hiding in the area. Security forces have launched a search operation in the area.
