J&K: Yechury could head group of interlocutors?

New Delhi: The government is finalising the composition of the new group of Kashmir interlocutors as part of a fresh peace initiative.

Sources say, unlike in the past, a senior politician will head this group and among the names under consideration is that of Sitaram Yechury and Ram Vilas Paswan who first proposed the recent meeting between members of the all party delegates and key separatists in the valley.

The CPI(M) leader though declined of being aware about any such proposal.

"I have no such indication or no such request so far by anybody, I have not heard anything,"said Yechury.

Speaking to NDTV, Arun Jaitley who was part of the all party delegation said that the BJP would support such a bi-partisan political group but added that tackling talks with separatists remained the tricky part.
