New Delhi:
Congress has reacted cautiously to the arrest of YSR Congress chief Jagan Mohan Reddy in a disproportionate assets case today, saying the party will not comment on matters under investigation. Party spokesperson Manish Tiwari also dismissed the charge levelled by YSR Congress that Mr Reddy's arrest was the result of a Congress-TDP conspiracy.
"If anybody has to make any averment, the appropriate place to do that is the court of law," Mr Tiwari told PTI. "It has been a convention that we (Congress) do not comment on matters which are under investigation or sub-judice," he said.
Jagan Mohan Reddy was been arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with a disproportionate assets case against him. The arrest came after three days of interrogation at Hyderabad's Dilkusha Guest House, where Mr Reddy will be held tonight.
