Jagga Jasoos: Ranbir Kapoor in the film

Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif's Jagga Jasoos witnessed growth over the weekend, reported trade analyst Taran Adarsh. The film managed to collect Rs 24. 60 crore(Saturday - 11.53 crore and Sunday - Rs 13.07 crore). In his tweet, Mr Adarsh added that Jagga Jasoos needs to maintain its growth in the coming days in order to sustain itself at the box office. Jagga Jasoos received a lukewarm response on its opening day and managed to collect Rs 8.57 crore. The film has managed to collect Rs 33.17 crore at the box office so far, tweeted Mr Adarsh. Jagga Jasoos released along with Raveena Tandon's Shab and Hollywood film War for The Planet Of The Apes.

Jagga Jasoos has been directed by Anurag Basu. The film marks Ranbir Kapoor's debut as a producer.
Recently, Amitabh Bachchan appreciated the movie on Twitter, calling it a 'delightful' film. "Just saw Jagga Jasoos could not resist telling Anurag what a delightful, innovative, well executed film it was; a joy to watch," he wrote.
Jagga Jasoos is a story of a young detective (played by Ranbir), who is in search of his missing father. Katrina features as a journalist, Shruti Sengupta, and also his accomplice in the film.
In his review for NDTV, film critic Raja Sen wrote that Jagga Jasoos is a 'dazzling, inventive and deliciously fun film.' "Ranbir Kapoor charms as a hero all children should have. Jagga Jasoos is a dazzling, inventive and deliciously fun film, a musical mystery fable that curious children (of all ages) should watch at the soonest," he wrote.
