Jaipur court summons SRK for smoking
Jaipur: Actor Shah Rukh Khan has been summoned by the additional chief judicial magistrate's court in Jaipur for publicly smoking in the Sawai Man Singh Stadium on April 8 during an IPL match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals. On the basis of news reports, a complaint was filed against the actor by Anand Singh Rathore, who moved court against the actor.

Mr Rathore, a keen cricket follower himself, runs a cricket academy for youngsters in Jaipur. He says the the star team owner is idolized by his fans, some even patterning themselves after the actor. So when Mr Khan is seen lighting up in public, he says it sends the wrong signal to his young fans.

As of now the charges against the star appear to be more moral than legally damaging. If found guilty, Mr Khan will only need to cough up a fine of Rs 500.

Whether Mr Khan personally appears before the court on today or sends a legal representative  still remains to be seen.
