Jaipur fire: 5 lakh people in 10 villages evacuated

jaipur: The fire at the IOC depot has thrown normal life in the surrounding areas out of control.

Five-km area around the fire spot has been declared a "danger zone".

Ten villages around the area have been affected. More than five lakh residents have been moved to safer locations.

The fire spread to some industrial units in a radius of three km destroying them. One entire factory has reportedly been destroyed. Crores of rupees worth of damage reported.

Hostel inmates of ten engineering and medical colleges have been moved out to safer locations.

Mahatma Gandhi hospital has been completely evacuated.

Visitors who thronged Chokhi Dhani in the vicinity suspected it to be an earthquake. The guests were evacuated to safer places.
