New Delhi:
More trouble for the Adarsh Housing Society as the Ministry of Environment and Forests is likely to issue a showcause notice to it for violations.
The Ministry had received a report from the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority on gross violations on November 9.
The report pointed that the Society did not have required permission of the competent authority under Coastal Regulation Zone.
As per the report, the height of the building was increased in violation of the allowed floor space index. The floor space index has been computed excluding the area for the amenities like staircase, lift and lobby.
In some more bad news for Adarash, the CBI too is likely to file a case in the Adarsh scam after a report from a Mumbai team to the director.
Sources say, a two member CBI team from Mumbai will be in Delhi on Friday to meet their director to discuss the Adarsh Housing society scandal .
The CBI director will take a final decision on the future action against Adarsh.
The CBI has already registered a Source Information Report ( SIR) and has called in for documents from all concerned parties including defence.
