Jind (Haryana): As the Jat stir for quota continued, some unidentified people set on fire the Budha Khera Railway Station in Haryana's Jind district today.
Furniture, record room and other articles were set on fire at the railway station, police said.
Jind is among the districts worst-hit by the ongoing Jat stir.
Violence continued in different parts of Haryana, particularly Rohtak and Jind, as protesters demanding reservation in jobs and education for the Jat community set fire to police vehicles, buses, hotels and a mall.
Mobile internet and SMS services were blocked in Rohtak on Thursday as the week-long agitation escalated. Schools will remain closed in at least eight districts today.
