Jawan Killed, 2 Injured in Gunbattle Near Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar: An army jawan was killed and two others were injured in an overnight gunbattle with terrorists in Tangdhar sector near the Line of Control or LoC in Jammu and Kashmir.

"One jawan made the supreme sacrifice while two others were injured in the operation against terrorists in Tangdhar sector of the Kupwara district," said an Army official.

The encounter between the security forces and terrorists broke out yesterday near Ragni post in Taya forests. The operation is still going on, the official said.
