Imphal:
In Manipur, jawans of the India Reserve Battalion (IRB) have fired at five students travelling in a car. The incident took place close to the city police station in Imphal on Wednesday night.
The firing occurred after the car allegedly knocked down some vehicles, including two motorbikes of the commados.
Two of the students were injured in the firing while another student was injured in a scuffle with security personnel that followed. All of them are said to be out of danger.
The remaining two students have been taken into custody. Four jawans have been suspended for the incident.
