Mumbai:
A Delhi-bound Jet Airways flight from Mumbai aborted take-off on Monday after the aircraft's cargo door was found open, airport sources said.
The runway was vacated following the incident which happened around 6 pm and the aircraft taken to a parking bay, they said.
"The pilot of the Jet Airways flight 9W for Delhi aborted the take-off after there was an indication that the door of the cargo belly was not shut," sources said.
Jet Airways said that it was "a false indication" and the aircraft was inspected and later on cleared.
"It was a false indication and the door was not open. The flight was inspected and released thereafter," a Jet Airways spokesperson said.
The aircraft had 64 passengers on-board.
