Ranchi: One of the abductors of the slain police officer Francis Induwar was arrested near Taimara in Ranchi district on Sunday.
Laxmi Munda, one of the three abductors who had kidnapped Induwar in October last year, was nabbed during anti-Naxal operations in the dense forests, police sources said.
During interrogation, Munda confessed that Induwar was kidnapped and beheaded at the direction of Maoist leader Kundan Pahan, they said. Pahan is still elusive.
The police also seized four-and-a-half kg explosives during the raids.
Another top leader of the Tritiya Prasturi Committee, Ashok Ganju, was also arrested during the day-long raids in the extremist-hit areas of Taimara and Tamar.
