Jharkhand Governor Taken Ill during Independence Day Function

Dumka: Jharkhand Governor Syed Ahmed was taken ill today while addressing the people during the Independence Day function in Dumka. He was promptly rushed to a local hospital.

"There is nothing to worry about," attending doctor at the hospital Dr Ramesh Verma told PTI.

He was later discharged and taken to the Raj Bhavan in Ranchi.  

Dumka is the second capital of Jharkhand, where the Governor attends the Independence Day function.
