Chatra, Jharkhand:
Three policemen including an assistant sub inspector, a head constable and a home guard were killed as the Maoists ambushed a police party late on Monday night.
The incident occurred in Chatra district of Jharkhand. The Maoists opened fire on a jeep carrying seven policemen, who were returning after a search operation. Four injured cops were sent to a hospital for treatment.
The Maoists also seized weapons from the policemen before fleeing.
