Jindal extortion case: Chargesheet filed against Subhash Chandra and two Zee editors
New Delhi: Zee Group Chairman Subhash Chandra and Zee editors Sudhir Chaudhary and Samir Ahluwalia were today chargesheeted in a court in Delhi in connection with the alleged Rs 100 crore extortion bid from Naveen Jindal's firm, Delhi Police said today.

According to a senior official of the Crime Branch, the charge sheet has been filed against the three under various provisions of the IPC, including sections 384 (extortion), 120 B (criminal conspiracy) and 420 (cheating).

The charge sheet was filed in the court of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Amit Bansal.

Mr Chaudhary and Mr Ahluwalia were earlier arrested in the case but they are presently on bail in the case filed by Congress MP Naveen Jindal's firm.

The police also said they have not yet found any evidence against Mr Chandra's son and MD of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited Punit Goenka, but the probe into the case is still on.
