Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh: Fifty-nine juvenile inmates reportedly took control of their correctional home in Uttar Pradesh's Hardoi district. This is after armed officials, including the jail superintendent, fled the correctional centre when the juvenile boys snatched their guns and began firing in the air.
It all started with a clash today between two groups of boys at the correctional home. As the guards attempted to intervene, they were attacked by the inmates and the situation soon swung out of control.
The boys eventually surrendered after the District Magistrate and the area's Superintendent of Police brokered peace with them.
