Jyoti Basu still very critical

Kolkata: CPM patriarch and former Chief Minister of West Bengal Jyoti Basu's condition is being described by doctors as very critical. He is on ventilator support and his condition is getting worse.

Basu's doctors are saying that he might be heading towards a multi-organ failure.

He underwent haemo-dialysis on Thursday evening after further deterioration in his cardiac and renal functions to remove toxins from his body.
