The condition of Marxist patriarch Jyoti Basu, who is being treated for pneumonia at a
hospital here, was on Saturday stable.
"Basu's condition is more or less stable and doctors are trying to check his pneumonic infection," 95-year-old Basu's personal physician A K Maity said.
Since Basu is too old, it would take some time to control the infection, he said.
