Jyoti Basu's ventilation support reduced

Kolkata: The ventilation of veteran Marxist leader Jyoti Basu, battling pneumonia in hospital with life support, has been reduced as also blood pressure stabilising drugs. However, there was no significant change in his condition.

Basu's vital signs remained more or less the same as on Thursday morning and doctors of the medical board are constantly monitoring his condition.

The board will review Basu's condition at around 11 am on Friday morning. Basu was hospitalised last Friday.
