Fatehpur: Six-year-old Roshan, who survived the devastating Kalka Mail accident on Sunday has found her father. The accident which claimed 69 lives completely shattered Roshan. She was frantically searching for her parents in Fatehpur Hospital. This morning Roshan finally got the good news when she was informed her father had reached Fatehpur Hospital, Roshan's mother, however, died in the accident on Sunday.
Meanwhile, another survivor sixteen-year-old Sahana is mourning the death of her mother and brother in the Kalka Mail accident. Sahana's father lost his legs in the train accident. The Railways may be a high profile ministry and a plump post for any politician but clearly for victims of train accidents, it really does not matter.
In fact, the Kalka Mail derailment became a political slug-fest with Minister of State for Railways, Mukul Roy, not even visiting Fatehpur. Mukul Roy defended his decision saying the Prime Minister had sent Minister of State for Railways, KH Muniyappa, to Uttar Pradesh. Clearly, the safety of passengers seems to have fallen off the Railways' radar, and no one is willing to take any responsibility.
