Kanpur: An angry mob burnt down the house of a murder accused in Kanpur on Sunday night.
Mohd Aslam, a member of the Wakf board in Kanpur, was shot dead by two men on a motorcycle at around 1.30am.
Angry mobs later stone pelted the house of one of the accused.
Aslam was the local caretaker of the Wakf board in the area and handled cases dealing with land disputes.
Police have so far arrested one person in the case and stepped up security in the area
