While many can relate to the conflict between the mind and the stomach, what makes the meme that little bit extra special is a touch of Bollywood - there's a direct reference to
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, the film which marked his debut as a director.
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai famously
starred Shah Rukh Khan while both Rani Mukerji and Kajol were cast opposite him. Rani featured as the NRI-college-girl-with-a-desi-heart, with whom Rahul (played by Shah Rukh) fell in love with. Kajol was the typical-tomboy-kinda college best friend, who Rahul friend-zoned with love. However, Rahul found it difficult to let any of them walk out of his life, literally clutching on to one and holding the other's hand.
