The CBI today raided the house of Nagendra, a Karnataka MLA from Kudligi, known to be close to the Reddy brothers - Janardhana and Karunakara.
There are also reports that the CBI has gone to the Jindal steel plant for verification of documents connected with the Reddy mines.
The Jindal Steel Company is the largest consumer of iron ore in the region. The investigating agency is verifying the amount of ore they have taken from various mining companies across the district.
The CBI is looking into their dealing with mining companies, especially Reddy brothers' Obalapuram Mining company.
