"Two detonator wires were brought into a contact with white powder (RDX) and there was a blast", Rajesh Kacheria, who acted as a panch witness on December 11, 2008, told special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam.
The case of the prosecution is that Kasab and his accomplice Abu Ismail had kept parcel bomb in a CST locker. The terror strikes left several people dead and over 200 injured.
Another witness, Indrajit Chandrashekhar, said police had recovered 13 cartridges, two magazines, eight empty magazines, and one safety pin of hand grenade from CST in his presence.
In cross examination, defence lawyer Abbas Kazmi told the witness, "You are telling lies. You never acted as a panch."
Pat came the reply, it is not me but you who are telling lies.
"Is it your job to act as a panch," asked the lawyer. The witness replied, "My job is to sell mobile covers and chappals as I am a hawker."
In all, 73 witnesses have deposed so far in the trial which commenced on May 8. Besides Kasab, two others, Faheem Ansari and Sabauddin Ahmed are also facing trial.
