Strict restrictions in Srinagar for the third consecutive day. Overnight curfew was in place. All shops, educational institutions, banks, petrol pumps, business establishments and government offices remained closed on Thursday. Transport operators ran skeletal service in the outskirts. Despite restrictions, protesters took to the streets in Sopore, Sangam and Bijbehara.
All major towns like Kulgam, Anantnag, Bijbehara, Pulwama, Sopore, and Baramulla are under strict curfew for the last several days.

Twelve people were injured when CRPF and police personnel resorted to baton-charge and burst teargas shells to break up a march at Chattabal.
Thousands of personnel, equipped with riot gear and arms, manned lanes, by-lanes, roads and the deserted streets of the city.
