Jammu:
About 3000 Kashmiri pandits are marching from Jammu to Srinagar protesting against the state government.
The protest is to show their disappointment over non implementation of a two-and-half-year old recruitment package that was promised by the Prime Minister.
"We want to ask the state government why the two-and-half-year old package by PM is still not implemented. We showed our willingness to work for the Valley and want to ask the chief minister as to why does he ask for new packages from the Centre when they can implement the old package?" said a Kashmiri pandit.
Four months ago, the government had promised them jobs on the condition that they will return to the Valley. While the pandits agreed to the condition, there is still no sign of any joining letter being issued.
The government however, says that the reason for the delay is the unrest that took over the valley in the recent past.
