New Delhi:
TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Sunday, in an apparent move to press for early formation of a separate Telangana state.
Rao did not speak to reporters after meeting Singh, which was for the first time after the Centre initiated the process of talks with recognised political parties on the Telangana issue.
On January 6, he had also met Home Minister P Chidambaram on the Telangana issue and described it as "satisfactory".
The TRS chief, who is spearheading the movement for the separate state, had also described the all party meeting convened here on January 5 as "a pleasant meeting and satisfactory." The meeting, however, ended in a stalemate.
The all party meeting was attended by eight registered political parties in Andhra Pradesh - Congress, TDP, TRS, Praja Rajyam, CPI(M), CPI, BJP and MIM.
