New Delhi:
The CPM Central Committee that met over the factional feud in Kerala has decided to drop V S Achutanandan from the politburo membership. However, Achutanandan will continue as the Chief Minister of Kerala.
The committee also decided that Pinarayi Vijayan would continue as Kerala state secretary and as a politburo member as well.
Achutanandan has been dropped as a politburo member for going against party line in Lavalin case. Both have been involved in a long-standing dispute over the 10-year-old SNC Lavalin case in which Vijayan is accused of corruption.
However, there has not been any official confirmation on the developments.
