A teenager in Kerala has installed a flex board outside his home in Pathanamthitta district to congratulate himself on passing the Class 10 board exam. The gesture impressed the Education Minister of the state, who wished him success in life.

The minister, V Sivankutty, posted a photo of the teenager's flex board on his official Facebook page, which shows the boy wearing sunglasses.

The minister's post, when translated from Malayalam, identifies the boy as Jishnu. Mr Sivankutty further said in the post that he loved the way the teenager celebrated his success and "this post is about that".

"I have seen the reports on Jishnu alias Kunjakku (son of Omanakkuttan and Deepa, from Kodumon). According to reports, Kunjakku celebrated his SSLC (Class 10) results by placing a flex board by himself near Manakkadu Devi Temple, south of Angadidcal in Kodumon," Mr Sivankutty said.

"Our system (government) will support all educational related activities. Jishnu himself is saying on the flex "history makes way for some people". Let it happen. I wish him success in life's exams too," he further said on Facebook.
