Kingfisher Airlines' issues statement after being suspended

Kingfisher Airlines' issues statement after being suspended
New Delhi: In a statement issued by the company in response to the International Air Transport Association (IATA) decision to suspend the airlines from its clearing house due to non-payment of dues, the airlines said that they were working with the tax authorities and that they expected the accounts to be un-attached soon.

An excerpt from the Airlines statement states: Due to the accounts getting attached by the tax authorities, we were not able to make a payment to ICH which resulted in a temporary suspension. We are working with the tax authorities and expect the accounts to be un-attached shortly. As soon as this is done, we will pay our dues to IATA and get reinstated.

The statement also states that passengers can continue to book tickets either directly with Kingfisher Airlines or through travel agents.
