Jaipur: BJP leader Kirit Somaiya has demanded registration of a case of criminal conspiracy against the companies of Robert Vadra, son-in-law of Congress president Sonia Gandhi, and his agents in connection with alleged irregularities in land deals in Bikaner.
In his letters to Rajasthan DGP, District Collector and Superintendent of Police of Bikaner as well as Enforcement Director, Mr Somaiya wrote that a case of criminal conspiracy be registered against the Vadra group of companies and his agents.
"The land was allotted as rehabilitation to farmers. Vadra's companies/agents with the forged documents got this land transferred in the name of Skylight/Vadra's group companies. The companies resold the land to others," Mr Somaiya said in the letter on Wednesday.
Mr Vadra has dismissed the charges against him. Meanwhile, BJP state president Ashok Parnami said the matter was being probed at the level of the Collector and no guilty will be spared.
Former chief minister Ashok Gehlot termed it as conspiracy of the NDA government to tarnish the image of Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
"Sonia Gandhi and Vadra have already said that law should take its own course but the government is deliberately trying to mislead people on the issue," Mr Gehlot told reporter in Jaipur.
