Mumbai: Railways have decided to run 12 super-fast special trains between Nasik Road and Howrah on account of Kumbh Mela to be celebrated in Nasik.
A release issued by Central Railway on Friday said, train No 02859 super-fast special will leave Nasik Road at 4:30 pm on July 14, August 19 and August 29, September 13, 18 and 25 and will arrive at Howrah at 6:15 pm the next day.
While train number 02860 super-fast special will leave Howrah at 6 pm on July 12, August 17, 27, September 11, 16 and 23 and will arrive at Nasik Road at 7:25 pm the next day.
These trains will halt at Bhusaval, Nagpur, Raipur, Bilaspur, Rourkela and Tatanagar stations and have one AC-2 tier, four AC-3 tier, 10 sleeper class, 4 second class composition, it said.
Train no 02859 will run as fully reserved super-fast special train on special charges. Bookings for train no 02859 leaving on July 14, August 19 and 29 will open on July 11 at all Passenger Reservation System (PRS) locations and through Internet.
For subsequent trips, bookings will open 60 days in advance (excluding the day of journey), the release added.
The 'Kumbh Mela', where lakhs of Hindus gather, is slated to start from July 14 in Nashik.
