Kolkata: After the recent spate of violence in Lalgarh, West Bengal governor M K Narayanan has decided to visit Netai village in the trouble-torn area on January 19.
The visit comes after seven people were shot dead by alleged CPM workers in Netai whereas another succumbed in the hospital today.
The Governor may also visit Jhalda in Purulia district where seven workers of the Forward Bloc, including a woman, were shot dead by Maoists on December 16.
Meanwhile, the Calcutta High Court Bar Association's plea for a CBI inquiry into the killings in Netai village is being heard this morning. (Read: Court decision on Lalgarh killings today)
