Lalu Prasad had left Patna for Mumbai in August for a heart surgery.

Patna: Come March and the Rashtriya Janata Dal plans to march to the BJP office in Patna, demanding that it fulfill its promise of paying Rs 15 lakh to each and every Indian.

The RJD alleges that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised the money to the people of India ahead of the elections as part of BJP's pledge on repatriation of black money in foreign banks.

RJD chief Lalu Prasad, who plans to lead the rally on March 15, has even asked workers to come with their bank passbooks, so they can show the BJP that the money is yet to be credited to their accounts.
Mr Prasad, though, has made it clear that the aim is only to ridicule the BJP - the rally, under no circumstance, should turn violent, he has warned the workers.

Ahead of the assembly elections, slated to be held later this year, the rally promises to be a fresh political assault on the BJP by the RJD chief.

Mr Prasad had returned to Patna in December after four month's absence following a valve replacement surgery and election campaign in Jharkhand.

But in that time, he had also been busy stitching up a Mahagathbandhan or grand alliance with former rival Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal (United) and foe turned friend Mulayam Singh Yadav, the chief of Samajwadi Party. Mr Prasad's youngest daughter Raj Lakshmi is engaged to be married to Mulayam Singh's nephew Tej Pratap.

That time, asked about the BJP taunt that the Mahagathbandhan could not open its account in Jharkhand, Mr Prasad had said, "Just wait for the Bihar elections, you will see what we do to them."
