Nagpur:
Cricket fans who had gathered outside Vidarbha Cricket Association in Nagpur to buy tickets for the India vs South Africa match, scheduled for March 12, were lathi-charged by police on Tuesday morning.
Sources say the police resorted lathi-charge to control the crowd. The ticket counter was also closed down till the crowd could be controlled.
In a similar incident on February 24, police lathi-charged thousands of fans who were waiting at the Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore to buy tickets for the February 27 match between India and England.
