Leaving 26/11 trauma behind

Leaving 26/11 trauma behind
Gazipur:

They are survivors -- Sunita Kori and her baby Sheetal. Sunita's husband died in the 26/11 terror attack. After a bitter fight with relatives, the compensation money of 15 lakhs is safe in bank deposits.

With the bullet wounds she sustained in the terror attack, baby Sheetal could barely breath.

Now she's a healthy child.

Says Sunita: "I want her to become a doctor. I will use the money I got from the government to educate her."

Sunita has finally got the Railways job she was promised. But it is in Gorakhpur, far away from their native Ghazipur. Sunita and her father are now struggling for a transfer in nearby Banaras.

Says Faujdar Yadav, Sunita's father: "Since the child is very young, we have asked the authorities for a transfer to Benaras, so that we can look after her."

And, Sunita will overcome this hurdle too.

For she and her baby are survivors.
