New Delhi:
Former President APJ Abdul Kalam has finally reacted to all the talk about his name being up as a candidate for the coming presidential election to choose a successor to President Pratibha Patil.
Predictably it was a guarded reaction.
"Let us wait for some time... after some time, you ask me," Mr Kalam told reporters in New Delhi.
His remarks came at a time when political leaders are holding meetings to reach a consensus on the new President.
Mr Kalam had served as the President between 2002 and 2007.
In the 2007 Presidential elections, his name was proposed by smaller parties to enter the race but he backed out at the last minute in the absence of a consensus.
